I’m a resident in the South Las Vegas area. I’m a Google Local Guide, and was invited to become a Yelp Elite several years ago. I’ve dined across 3 continents. My bucket list is all 7. Watch out, penguins & seals! Just kidding, they’re far too adorable to eat.
I’ve been taking photos & videos of the food I’ve eaten for the past several years and really not bothering to do much with them. Too unmotivated to even post them on Yelp or Google Maps. One day, my brother asked me what’s the best steak I’ve ever had so far, which led me to search photos I’ve taken of steak I’ve eaten. I stared at half of the photos with absolutely no clue where I ate at, or even what the cut of steak was.
So I decided to start Frankly.Vegas as a way to chronicle what I’ve been eating, especially in the Las Vegas area.
My adventurous palate developed thanks to my mom, who encouraged me from childhood to try different foods. I was fortunate to grow up in Southern California, oneof the most culturally diverse areas in the world. Over the decades, I’ve sampled cuisines from North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
I’ve moved around the country and traveled to many states and countries, exploring local foods and flavors. Eating what others eat has helped me connect with communities and share in their tastes and experiences.
My spirit animals are dead food critic rockstars, such as Jonathan Gold & Anthony Bourdain.
And I still don’t know where I had my favorite steak.
